Spun-over Rim and Wire Ring Fit

This is another key area of c0ncern in the construction of a spun-over rim. I have mine built so that the ¼" wire ring fits completely into its cavity. The wire ring is not crimped or soldered to the spun-over rim so that it is able to find it's own seating position between the tone ring and spun-over rim. I believe that this provides for the even transfer of head tension to all points on the tone ring.
